Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of the world-leading hospitality group Accor, in partnership with Xiamen Airlines, proudly announces the opening of Fairmont Xiamen in Fujian Province, China. As part of the Xiamen Airlines headquarters complex in the Xiamen Cross-Strait Financial Center, Fairmont Xiamen is designed as a 33-story tower with a gleaming peak, standing amid the majestic rocky peaks of the Wuyi Mountains that tower over the city’s landscape. At this nexus of commerce and nature, Fairmont Xiamen brings an extraordinary luxury hospitality experience that is globally-minded, while deeply rooted in the local Minnan culture.

Harmony of nature and urban life
Fairmont Xiamen is a masterpiece of contemporary design, achieved through the collaboration of several global design teams. The overall project was led by FOSTER + PARTNERS, a globally-recognized architecture firm founded by Norman Foster, a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate. The hotel’s interior design was created by Hong Kong based design firm Cheng & Chung Design (CCD), while a lush outdoor landscape, created by the American SWA Group, further celebrates the coexistence of nature and urban life. Inside, 420 luxurious guestrooms and suites are designed with glamorous elements of Old Hollywood Art Deco and infused with the serene colors of the coast and the charm of Nanyang features. Panoramic windows provide guests with unsurpassed views of the city and the sea beyond.

Culinary traditions & cultural experiences
Fairmont Xiamen introduces a dynamic blend of global culinary traditions, localized authenticity, and innovative dining concepts. Five beautifully designed, instagrammable spaces merge timeless elegance with playful modernity, while curated menus highlight fresh seafood, artisanal techniques, and a balance of bold and delicate flavors. Sustainability, reduced waste practices, and healthier choices – such as low-alcohol beverages, vegetarian dishes, and organic options – underscore the hotel’s commitment to delivering memorable, culturally-rooted experiences that cater to both discerning travelers and younger demographics seeking luxury with a sense of place. The hotel’s five restaurants include:
TIANXIA 1984 Chinese Restaurant is inspired by 3,600-year-old Chinese history and the beauty of Quanzhou South Celadon. The innovative chef brings a creative spin to Fujian cuisine, delighting the senses and leading the city’s culinary scene.
Del Mar Italian Restaurant is bold and exotic, encased in Minnan red bricks for a powerful, vintage vibe. Guests are immersed in the flavors of Italy while experiencing the fusion of Chinese and Western elements in both sight and taste.
Victoria Destination Restaurant on the top floor features sea to sky views and the interior style of an ancient Nanyang shop house. In the open kitchen, chefs prepare classic Fairmont dishes, Southeast Asian flavors, and international delicacies.
AIR LOFT Bar is also on the top floor, styled as the private lounge of a sophisticated traveler. The refined and progressive bar serves creative drinks, with decor inspiration from Xiamen Airlines and the graceful herons that inhabit the coast.
PLAZA Lobby Lounge invites guests to pause and enjoy a lovely moment in this vibrant social hub.
Fairmont Gold Experience
At Fairmont Xiamen, Fairmont Gold Lounge is a privileged "hotel within a hotel" experience, combining exceptional privacy and personalized luxury.
